This unisex circlet features a 0.375 inch bordered burnished band. Raw red brass, unplated.

This circlet has been made from red brass, which has not been treated to resist tarnishing.  This means that the circlet might react with your skin.  If you’re going to wear the circlet over a veil or scarf, it should not be a problem, but if you’re going to wear it over bare skin you can either coat it with clear nail polish or glue in a strip of fabric.  Similarly, the surface of the circlet may also darken over time.  The circlet can be topcoated with a clear nailpolish, or when it does change color it can be cleaned up with any brass or silver cleaner.  In a pinch, SoftScrub can be used to clean the tarnish.

This item is individually handmade and may have some variation.
