This penannular-style brooch is made from cast bronze, featuring a tapered pin and polygon ends, and measures 2.75" across and 2" tall. This penannular works like the ancient originals found in Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The Vikings wore this type of brooch to fasten their capes and cloaks about their shoulders, and many have been found in Norse graves. It is perfect to pin shawls or capes, cloaks, sweaters, and kilts.
